The government has just announced a new suite of grants aimed at supporting the establishment of agroforestry systems across England. These grants, offered by the Forestry Commission, are designed to help farmers and land managers integrate agroforestry into their existing practices, ultimately enhancing productivity, biodiversity, and sustainability.

Earlier this year, the UK government announced new agroforestry-specific actions available through the Sustainable Farming Initiative (SFI) for farmers in England, a government scheme designed to promote sustainable agriculture. We look at the maintenance subsidies that are currently available.
